Sony shows off at the PMA again, this time with the nice and sturdy Cyber-shot DSC-G1. This camera is aimed at the high-end market and has a lot to offer for its price tag.
Here are the features:
- 6.0 effective Megapixel CCD
- USB 2.0 High Speed
- DLNA sharing technology
- Automatic image management system
- 3X optical zoom lens
- Optical image stabilization
- 3.5-inch LCD display with 921K pixels
- Weighs 204 grams
- 93.3 x 71.7 x 25.3 mm
- 2GB of internal memory
- Sony Memory Stick Duo slot
- Ultra slim metal body
- Movies at 640 x 480 (30 fps) with sound
Overall, the DSC-G1 is pretty nice, and what I like about it is the sliding doors to protect the lens. The tough, outer metal body can be use as the case instead of having to put it back into a case between uses.
The DSC-G1 will be out next month for about $600.00 USD. It is pretty pricey, but you get onboard memory and a lot of features.
