Anti Phone Theft
As cell phones become more and more popular, the rate of cell phone crime increases. Taking a step forward, Britain's mobile phone service providers have agree to partner up to disable stolen handsets on all UK networks. This would decrease cell phone theft. The group consists of Vodafone, O2, T Mobile, Orange and 3. They will reference to a blacklist 80 per cent of stolen handsets within 48 hours of being reported stolen and then take actions accordingly. These five networks will keep track of the stolen cell phones by the unique IMEI number of each handset. An updated list of all the phones reported stolen would be uploaded each night. Then it will be disabled. Authorities and police are delighted by this move and said that it will help even more if the public would register their phones at www.Immobilise.com. The technology to stop cell phones from working remotely have been available for a while now, but lack of interest from service providers and the lack of knowledge from consumers regarding their cell phones make such service a no-go. At least until now, hopefully this will be adapted worldwide. unlocked cell phones, cellular phone handset, camera phone pics, mobile phone reviewsunlocked cell phones, cellular phone handset, camera phone pics, mobile phone reviews
