E-TEN G500 GPS

E-TEN annouced its first GPS-enabled Pocket PC phone, the G500.

The new device adds GPS functionality to the M500 model, but lacks the infrared port. It is a quad-band device running on Windows Mobile 5.0 and it is 119 x 62 x 23 mm big, weighting 186 g. This makes the G500 comparable to non-GPS PocketPC devices. It uses a Samsung S3C2440 processor and 128 MB of Flash memory and 64 MB SDRAM memory.

The E-TEN device has 240 x 320 pixel 65K color TFT touchscreen, 1.3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth support. It also features a miniSD slot. The GPS functionality is powered by the SiRFStarIII GPS receiver. The Pocket PC phone features a lot of multimedia options, video recording, music and video playback along with 192-channel polyphonic ringtones. There hasn't been any official information about the price and availability of the E-TEN G500
