Two companies have teamed up to provide people with DS and DS Lite with some media and content love. Dai Nippon Printing & AM3 will be making what they called DSvision, which is a MicroSD-to-game-cartridge device.
A user would go online to find music, videos, books, pictures, and whatever else, then they will download it onto the MicroSD via the included USB adapter. Then they will insert the MicroSD into the game cartridge and into the DS or DS Lite it goes. What is even better is that the two companies will provide a web-based service where user can find these media. It will cost you, of course, but at least they are supporting their hardware.
The package of 512MB MicroSD, the cartridge adapter, and the USB adapter will cost you about $40.00 USD when it hits the market in January 2008. The web-based service will not go live until March 2008.
