There have been numerous leaks and “supposed” specs of the new Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III floating around the internet for a while now. Well today it is official. Canon’s US website posted the details of their latest high-end professional camera.
Here are the specs:
- CF Type I and II and SD/SDHC
- 21 megapixel full-frame, high-sensitivity, high-resolution, single-plate, CMOS sensor
- JPEG, JPEG+RAW, RAW (Canon CR2)
- Auto white balance
- Eye-level SLR with fixed pentaprism
- Built-in eyepiece shutter
- TTL-AREA-SIR AF-dedicated CMOS sensor
- 1/8000 to 30 sec frame speed
- 10 or 2 seconds self-timer
- E-TTL II autoflash with all EX Series Speedlites
- 3-inch TFT color, liquid-crystal monitor
- Dust Delete Feature
- 156 x 159.6 x 79.9mm
The EOS-1Ds Mark III will be available in November. The price really speaks true to when I say this is a camera for the pros because it will cost about $8000.00 USD before tax.
