The BenQ C740i is an upgrade to the C740 and is claimed to satisfy even the “photo experts.” One neat feature it has is the face detection function like the Sony cameras.
Here are the specs:
- 7 Megapixels CCD, Size: 1/2.5 inch
- 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom
- 15-cm macro function
- 2.5-in LTPS LCD / 150,000 pixels
- Up to 3072 x 2304 resolution
- M_JPEG movie with up to 848 x 480 resolution
- Shutter Speed: 1/2000 ~ 8 sec
- White Balance: Auto / Daylight / Cloudy / Tungsten / Fluorescent (H) / Fluorescent (L) / MWB

Again, like the E820, there is no mention of when the C740i will be out or for how much it will cost. But it couldn’t be that much more than the C740.
